Introduction

This guide provides a step-by-step process to generate and manage an EDI 846 Inventory Advice in A2000.

1. Queue and Generate Files for Transmission

Navigate to the EDI 846 module:

• Go to EDI → Outgoing → Queue and Generate Files for Transmission → Queue 846 Inventory Data → Generate.

2. Queue 846 Documents

Follow these steps to queue documents:

• Customer: Select the customer needed.
• EDI Alias: The EDI Alias assigned to the selected customer will populate automatically.
• Division: Enter the division if you want to send styles for a specific division (optional).
• Warehouse: Select the warehouse if required by the retailer or if you want to send inventory information for a specific warehouse (optional).

3. Inventory Based On

Choose the basis for inventory:

• Time Phase Availability: Goods in inventory future by time based on the Cut/PO. The goods will not be available until that time.
• Physical Inventory On-Hand: Goods that are available.
• ATS From Stock: Goods available minus what orders are against it.
• Bulk Orders: Existing BULK orders entered in A2000 and the availability of those styles in A2000 Inventory. (A BULK Order is identified by entering BULK in the store code field of an order.)

4. Size Type

Choose the size type:

• By Component Size: Individual sizes.
