Corporation Master
GL→Setup→Corporation Master (Level 1 Master File, Required, Manual Entry)
The A2000 Corporation Master is used to define and identify a Corporation. Each Corporation may have one or more reporting divisions. For accounting purposes, each Corporation maintains one set of books. If an organization has more than one Corporation that maintains its’ own books, each Corporation must be set up as an individual corporation when employing the A2000 accounting package. A Corporation Master is required even if the A2000 accounting package is not activated.

Corporations Tab
A master record for each Corporation is listed and stored on the Corporation Tab for processing. Each Corporation is assigned a unique one digit, user-defined identification code. The Code designation cannot be changed once the system is activated. The Corporation Master also contains the initial settings for period close and fiscal information, as well as default GL Control Numbers for transactional processing. Period Closing and Fiscal Year information is not required if the A2000 Accounting package is inactive. Transactional information is linked to the Corporation throughout the system. New corporations may be added at any future date when applicable.
