Step-by-Step Guide: Chart of Accounts

Introduction

This guide provides a step-by-step process to create and manage a Chart of Accounts in A2000.

1. Accessing the Chart of Accounts

Navigate to the Chart of Accounts module:

• Go to GL → Chart of Accounts.

2. Creating a New Account

Follow these steps to create a new General Ledger account:

• Corp. Code: Enter a unique alphanumeric code identifying the specific Corporation.
• Account No.: Enter the 12-digit GL Account Number.
• Description: Enter an Account Description (name/type of account).

3. Setting Divisional and Seasonal Flags

Configure reporting flags as needed:

• Allow Division: Set to Yes, Req’d, or No based on requirements.
• Season: Set to Yes, Req’d, or No based on requirements.

4. Configuring Sub-Ledger

Adjust sub-ledger settings:

• Allow Sub Ledger: Set to Yes, Req’d, or No based on requirements.
• Sub Ledger Type: Optionally enter a valid Sub-Ledger Code.
